The only independent jeweler in Place Vendôme, Lorenz Bäumer has signed creations with his name for 30 years at 19 Place Vendôme. He gives free rein to his unbridled creativity to create, surprise and sublimate.
Born in Washington to diplomatic parents, Lorenz Bäumer's childhood was punctuated by travel. From the United States to Jordan, via Austria, Germany or even Canada, diversity permeates the creator, whose sensitivity is nourished by a jack-of-all-trades mother, gifted with her hands, the initiating a certain form of craftsmanship at a very young age.
A graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris, his training as an engineer made him a pioneer in the use of new techniques and new materials. Very quickly, he established himself as one of the greatest jewelers of the 21st century.
Spotted by the biggest houses, he accepts the crazy bet of Chanel who asks him to develop jewelry for his Couture House. He will ensure for 20 years the artistic direction of the jewelry, and imposes himself successfully. His creations quickly became classics of the House of Chanel: Ultra, Camélia, Coco and Matelassée…
In 2007, LVMH entrusted him with the launch of Louis Vuitton jewelry. Hailed by his peers with his first collection “l'Ame du Voyage”, he reinterpreted the codes of travel for the Maison Vuitton for 10 years.
In 2010, the designer was selected by the Royal Family of Monaco to create the jewel for the wedding of Princess Charlène Wittsock and Prince Albert II. He created the famous “Diamond Ecume” tiara for her.
Lover of the arts in all its forms, he designs for many houses and multiplies collaborations: Hermès, Cartier, Piaget, Bréguet, Baccarat, Nathalie Blanc or even Guerlain for which he designs the famous red G as well as the bee perfume bottle. He particularly likes to respond to very special requests from his friends. In particular, he created the swords of academicians for his friends Prince Gabriel de Broglie and Chancellor Xavier Darcos.
From his eponymous Maison located at 19 place Vendôme, Lorenz Bäumer continues to celebrate femininity with audacity. He talentedly shakes up the codes of jewelry, dares and innovates constantly in an always avant-garde style.
Each of his creations has a soul. He draws his inspiration from his passions: art and nature. The creator is above all an epicurean and a collector who likes to share his discoveries. In his salons on Place Vendôme, he would like you to taste a whiskey or rum from his personal collection, or share with you his passion for old drawings, photos of the Vendôme column, comics, or even knives...
